Aurora City Council has passed a proposal to allow for marijuana delivery.

On Monday, December 7, Council Members voted 8 to 2 in favor of allowing licensed retailers the ability to deliver recreational marijuana in Aurora and other municipalities.

The proposal allows retailers to deliver to customers from 8:00 A.M. to 10 P.M.

The passed proposal specifies that no more than one ounce of marijuana, 80-ten milligram servings of THC in marijuana products, or eight grams of marijuana concentrate can be delivered to a customer in one day.

Businesses interested in starting a delivery service would have to obtain special licensing through the Aurora Marijuana Enforcement Division.

Applicants cannot have any felony convictions in the three years prior to requesting a license.

A final vote on the proposal will take place in two weeks.

If passed, delivery could begin by January 2021.

A draft proposal allowing for delivery and other changes has been sent to Denver City Council members according to a spokesperson for Denver's Excise and Licensing Department.

Denver officials have two meetings about the proposal for Tuesday, December 15, and Thursday, December 17, according to FOX31.

If passed, Denver could start accepting applications for special licensing for marijuana delivery on July 1, 2021.
