A raving underground party in Sacramento was caught on video in violation of public health orders.

As many Californians are under stay-at-home orders, a video shows a basement-like area packed with people dancing and hanging from the rafters.

The Snapchat footage was screen recorded and uploaded to Reddit where one user wrote, "I wonder why our cases are still going up?"

Video of the illegal gathering was uploaded to Snapchat's public Snap Map on Saturday, December 5.

The location was tagged at a strip mall on Fruitridge Boulevard and 65th Street according to ABC10.

A business owner at the mall said he learned of the party the morning after it took place because the police came after a shooting occurred in the area.

The Sacramento Police Department responded to a shooting outside the 6800 block of Fruitridge Boulevard at 2:30 A.M. the same night of the party.

When police arrived, they say they witnessed a large group of people running away. They also found physical evidence of the large party and shell casings outside.

Two gunshot victims took themselves to the hospital and were linked with the shooting.

The party preceded a Sacramento County Board of Supervisors meeting where it discussed monetary fines given to violators of public health orders.

Sacramento residents could face fines between $25 to $500 and businesses $250 to $10,000 for violating health orders.

According to Director of Sacramento County Department of Health Services, Dr. Peter Beilenson, the party is likely to be a super-spreader event.
