The pandemic has brought along many struggles for local residents. Businesses have been forced to close, leaving many jobless.
One company is looking to hire hundreds of new employees this season, reported CBS DFW.
The supermarket chain Whole Foods Market is looking to hire about 275 people throughout 12 stores in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
Sean Bestor, head of Employer Brand Marketing for Whole Foods, explain that jobs are available for several positions. Bestor said, "Those jobs range from seasonal to part-time to full-time and they can really be anything they can be a department lead level, and they can also be an in store shopper position."
Company officials for Whole Foods Market say that they are proud to offer employees a minimum pay of $15 per hour to all employees starting out.
Bestor said, "Now that can only go up depending what role you are applying for and how much experience you have."
Many of the open positions can lead to longer, more permanent career positions.
“Whole Foods has a really rich tradition of people starting off anywhere in the store and working their way up to leading a team or leading store, or moving into a regional corporate role,” said Bestor.
