Naya Rivera's ex Ryan Dorsey and her family are trying to making this Christmas season a special one for the pair's son, Josey.
As per a new report from ET, Dorsey, 37, and the family are bonding to ensure the child, 5, has a pleasant holiday season, his first without Rivera, who died on a boating trip in July at 33. "Josey loves Christmas, so they're really going to go all out this year to make it special," a source close to the celebrity gossip outlet revealed, adding that Rivera's sister, Nickayla is still living in the same house as Dosey and the child. According to the source, Dorsey always spent the holiday with his son after the pair's split, so they have plenty of father-son traditions to continue on with this year.
Over the weekend, Dorsey took to Instagram to share shots of him and his son purchasing a Christmas tree and the photo of their decorated piece. "#HappyHolidays to all. You, you, and even you, all of ya. Hope you get nothing but happiness. Except you. I'm talking to you, 2020. #f***2020," the actor captioned the post.
"Giving back this time of year was something that was very important to Naya and something she wanted to instill in Josey, so the Snixxmas fundraiser her Glee family is throwing is really special," the insider said of honoring the late star's tradition to give back with her holiday toy drive. At time of press, the fundraiser had reached $83,630 of its $100,000 goal.
In addition to the toy drive, the cast of Glee, including the likes of Dianna Agron, Heather Morris, Chord Overstreet, Jenna Ushkowitz, Kevin McHale and Matthew Morrison, banded together to honor the star with a separate GoFundMe aimed at supporting Alexandria House, a Los Angeles-based nonprofit that the late star endorsed.
