Taylor Swift’s “Christmas Tree Farm” is set to a Twinsburg family’s lighting display that’s so elaborate, it drew praise from the Grammy-winning artist herself.
Sarah Bailey, a local singer-songwriter, recently shared a video on Instagram and Twitter, showing her family’s Christmas lights set to Swift’s upbeat Christmas tune.
Swift’s song joins other holiday favorites in the festive lineup, including “Underneath the Tree” by Kelly Clarkson, “What Christmas Means to Me” by Cee Lo Green and, of course, “All I Want For Christmas Is You” by Mariah Carey.
“I am so excited that we added this song to the display this year and I hope she can see this!!!” Bailey tweeted on December 4, tagging Swift.
"This year has been tough, but this is something that we can all enjoy safely from the comfort of our cars, or the sidewalk for an up close experience! I hope this brings you as much joy as it does us in this crazy 2020," she added on Instagram. "Merry Christmas and HAPPY HOLIDAYS."
Bailey also plugged letters to Santa — who will write personalized letters back — and a Covid-safe food drop box to benefit Our Community Hunger Center, at 9733 Ravenna Road in Twinsburg.
Thanking local businesses, churches, schools and individuals, the nonprofit organization notes that it has served more than 36,000 local residents with a week’s supply of nutritious foods. That’s equal to more than 756,800 meals, according to Our Community Hunger Center.
On Tuesday (December 8), Bailey tweeted that she was “FREAKING OUT.”
Swift responded to Bailey’s video in a message on Instagram.
“Sarah! I loved your family’s Christmas lights show!!! Thank you (and your dad) so much for using Christmas Tree Farm to create such a fun spectacle,” Swift wrote. “I really love how you’ve chosen to give back by mentioning your local food bank. I’ve made a donation to Our Community Hunger Center in your hometown. Happy Holidays! Love, Taylor.”

Naturally, Swift’s message prompted an appreciative response from Bailey, with a subtle nudge to make a socially-distanced visit to Twinsburg.
“I am so so so happy that you were able to see the video and enjoy it as much as we have so far this season,” Bailey wrote, in part. “Everyone needs some Christmas cheer in 2020. I am honored that you made a donation. The lights look better in person *wink wink* socially distanced of course…Happy holidays.”
