These California Cities Are Considered The Best For Celebrating New Year's

Everyone is looking forward to 2020 being over.
With the new year approaching and a vaccine on the horizon, people have a lot to celebrate for making it through this tough year.
However, with COVID-19 cases still rising, New Year's celebrations this year will be smaller and socially distanced.
While some cities are faring better in terms of COVID-19 cases, many American cities are under lockdown and may still be through the end of December.
Whether you plan on going out to a subdued gathering or staying in, Wallethub has determined the best places to celebrate this unconventional New Year.
A total of seventeen California cities made it onto the list.
Fremont and Irvine landed in the top 5 best cities at No. 4 and No. 5 respectively.

To determine the best cities for New Year's, WalletHub compared the 100 most populated cities in the U.S. and compared their safety and accessibility and entertainment and food.
The study took into account cities that with the fewest COVID-19 cases and deaths in the past week per capita.
They also compared other safety criteria like car theft rate, traffic congestion, neighborhood security, DUI-related fatalities, and pedestrian fatality rate.
To round out their study, they calculated each city's average alcoholic beverage prices, restaurant meal costs, availability of take-out or delivery food, and of course, the legality of fireworks.
