Despite following CDC guidelines, Ellen DeGeneres has revealed that she has tested positive for COVID-19.

On Thursday morning (December 10), the TV personality, 62, took to Twitter to make the announcement but revealed that she is feeling fine since the diagnosis. "Hi Everyone, I want to let you all know that I have tested positive for COVID-19," she told her 79.4 million followers. "Fortunately, I am feeling fine right now."

"Anyone who has been in close contact with me has been notified, and I am following all proper CDC guidelines," she continued in the note to fans. "I'll see you all again after the holidays. Please stay healthy and safe."

Back in October, The Ellen DeGeneres Show was one of the first TV productions to resume filming with a limited in-studio audience. As per USA Today, 40 fans have been allowed to attend tapings in-person, while the remaining 70 members tuned in remotely. The studio typically houses about 300 audience members. As of Thursday, the United States had amassed more than 15.4 million cases and 289,970 deaths for the coronavirus pandemic.
