Rihanna has reportedly filmed a new music video for her long-awaited ninth studio album.

On Thursday night (December 10), the pop titan, 32, was seen leaving what has been reported as the set of a new music video in downtown Los Angeles. In photos obtained by JustJared, Rih could be seen wearing a tie-die jumpsuit with silver jewelry to match. She was joined by her entourage, as well as her best friend Melissa Forde, after spending 11 hours on set, according to photographers.

Two years ago, Rolling Stone reported that Rihanna was exploring her Caribbean roots in the form of a dancehall album, but the superstar has seemingly continued work on the LP, so the trajectory of the project could have taken a turn. Speaking with Allure for their December/January issue, Pharrell dished on the pop titan's creative input for their collaborations for the effort. "Rih is in a different place right now," Skateboard P said of her new music. "Like, wow. She’s from a different world. I'm willing to bet, because Venus is gaseous, that if they had a telescope that could zoom through all that sh*t, you'd see Rih laying there naked."

Despite the lengthy wait for its release, Rihanna told Associated Press in the fall that she was intent on making music that spoke to her. "What do I feel personally? What do I want to put out, and as an artist, how do I want to play it with my art? How do I want to interpret that?" she asked. “How do I want to reimagine it because it’s been so structured before."
