New England Brewery Selling Another COVID-19 Themed Beer

A New England brewery is selling another COVID themed beer.

Proclamation Ale Company in Warwick, Rhode Island announced it will be selling 'Knock It Off: The Sequel," amid another rise in COVID-19 cases statewide on its Facebook page.

"Sadly, this is coming out at exactly the perfect time... just as Rhode Island topped the most new Covid cases per capita in THE WORLD! Yes, the world," the company wrote in the Facebook post.

"So, here we are again. As we watch cases rise in unfathomable numbers, we want to tell everyone, yet again, to KNOCK IT OFF. This shit is not over so wear your mask, stay home, do your part!"

Sadly, this is coming out at exactly the perfect time... just as Rhode Island topped the most new Covid cases per capita...

Knock It Off: The Sequel is made as a 9.5% alcohol by volume Triple IPA, which the intention to "put people in just enough of a stupor that they will stay home and nap instead of going out!" The company describes the COVID-inspired ale as having "aromas of bold tropical fruit and candied orange and mouthwatering notes of stonefruit, mango, citrus, and soft tropical fruit."

Proclamation Ale Company will also be sending out a coordinating Sequel glass to customers. On Thursday (December 10,) the company said it had already received preorders and will be offering pickups between 2:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.

Proclamation Ale Company also said $2 from every 4-pack and/or glass sold will be donated to local nonprofits, Knock If Off: The Sequel is a collaboration between Proclamation Ale Company and the Frog and Toad store in Providence.

Earlier this year, the store began selling t-shirts featuring Governor Gina Raimondo's "Knock It Off" slogan, which led to an initial collaboration with Proclamation Ale Company to make a "Knock It Off" beer, with portions of sales for both going to local nonprofits.
