Here comes Santa! The jolly big man in red is back to bring holiday cheer in a troubling year. The coronavirus pandemic has put the brakes on some beloved traditions and events, but don't worry, Santa's not going anywhere. In fact, you can still see him safely. Organizers for Santa photo-ops and meet-ups have incorporated COVID-19 safety rules, from protective barriers to virtual visits. Here are some opportunities to see Santa in the Portland area.

Bridgeport Village

From now through December 23, you can do five-minute video calls with Old Saint Nick for $24.95.

Cabela's In Tualatin

You can visit Santa in-person for a free 4x6 studio-quality photo. Reservations are required, and there will be a clear protective shield between Santa and guests. Catch him before he's gone after December 24.

Mad Greek Deli

This Portland restaurant is offering free 10-minute Zoom calls at this restaurant. They'll be available on December 12 and 13, as well as the 19th and 20th. You can sign up for a time here.

Washington Square

Did someone say contactless photos with Santa? You can drop by Washington Square for that. There's no protective barrier, but six-feet of social distancing will be enforced. You can make reservations online, too. Santa will be around through December 24.

Lloyd Center

Visits here cost $10 and all the proceeds go to the nonprofit Howard's Heart, which helps teens in foster care. You can drop by to see Santa from December 12 to 13 and December 19 to 23. They'll also be open on Christmas Eve but with modified hours. You can reserve your spot in advance and bring your own phone and/or camera for pictures.

Clackamas Town Center

Reservations are open for in-person photos at Clackamas Town Center. Santa, who will have a plexiglass barrier, will be here through December 24. Times vary based on the day.

Vancouver Mall

Contactless visits with Santa go on through December 24 at this location. The set will also be staged to “minimize the visibility” of the 6 feet of social distance between Santa and his guests, according to KOIN.
