The holidays, like many traditions and annual events, is going to be different this year. The threat of COVID-19 has change people's plans for observing Christmas, but that doesn't mean you should put away your Christmas spirit for next year.

In fact, WalletHub conducted a study to see which U.S. cities are great for safe and affordable celebrations in 2020. Researchers looked at the "100 biggest U.S. cities based on 15 key indicators," from traditions and generosity to safety and coronavirus cases.

Only one Washington city made it on the list, but it placed in the Top 10. And that honor goes to Seattle!

The Emerald City came in at the No. 8 spot, but the recognition doesn't stop there. Seattle seems to have quite a charitable side; researchers said Seattle was among cities with the most food banks per capita and highest online giving for capita.

Washington's neighbors also had one featured city, too. Portland represented Oregon, while Boise was the only Idaho location on the list.
