Kentucky Is One Of The Top 10 States That Watched TV The Most

With massive amounts of streaming services and television providers, shows and movies are easier than ever to watch.
But just how much television do Kentucky residents watch?
VerizonSpecials.com conducted a study to determine which states watched the most TV, and Kentucky made it into the top 10.
Kentucky was seventh overall with an average of 3 hours and 52 minutes of TV watched per day. The most searched TV genre in Kentucky is ESPN.
Here are the top ten states that watched TV the most and their average daily watch times:
- Mississippi- 4 hours and 22 minutes
- Arkansas- 4 hours and 20 minutes
- West Virginia- 4 hours and 18 minutes
- Alabama- 4 hours and 16 minutes
- Louisiana- 4 hours and 7 minutes
- Rhode Island- 4 hours and 2 minutes
- Kentucky- 3 hours and 52 minutes
- Nevada- 3 hours and 51 minutes
- Georgia- 3 hours and 49 minutes
- Michigan- 3 hours and 46 minutes
The state that watched TV the least was Alaska with 2 hours and 38 minutes of daily watch time.
The study found that Americans watched, on average, 17% more TV this year than last year. ESPN was the most-searched TV genre among all fifty states, including Washington, D.C.
To determine the findings, the website compared TV watch time data from the most recent American Time Use Survey from 2015-2019. The genres were found using Google Trends data.
