Basketball Hall of Famer Shaquille O'Neal will reportedly be visiting Nashville this week to help local families in need.

O'Neal is teaming with Pepsi to provide 125 families with a week's worth of fresh food and produce as part of the Stronger Together Holiday Market on Friday (December 18,) WSMV reports. The event will take place at Jones Paideia Elementary School in North Nashville and follow social distancing guidelines.

"This is Christmas a lot of people going to wake up on Christmas, no food, no trees, no toys and if we can prevent that especially in a small way, we definitely want to do that,” O’Neal said via WSMV.

Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee, Kroger and Five Star Food Service will also be participating in the event. Other celebrity participants include country duo Locash and Chris Kirkpatrick of N'Sync.

The Shaquille O'Neal Foundation and Pepsi Stronger Together had partnered with Jefferson County Public Schools to send 200 Louisville students to the KFC Yum! Center for a special holiday market on Tuesday (December 15,) WLKY reports.

More than 200 students attended the event in Louisville earlier this week, which provided families with two bags full of groceries from a Kroger pop-up food pantry.
