The holiday season, especially Christmas, brings people into high spirits. Whether it's seasonal treats or holiday-themed movies, if there's one thing you can count on towards the end of the year, it's music. Radio stations start playing Christmas songs as early as November, and whether you love it or hate it, it's to be expected.
But which songs get American into the holiday spirit? CardsChat conducted a study to answer that question. After analyzing over a thousand playlists and Google Trends, the website narrowed down the top three Christmas songs in every state.
Here are the songs filling Floridians with cheer:
- All I Want for Christmas Is You by Mariah Carey
- Carol of the Bells by Mykola Dmytrovych Leontovych
- Last Christmas by Wham!
Mariah Carey's hit song is not just the Sunshine State's No. 1 -- it dominated the charts across the nation. Americans seem to love All I Want for Christmas Is You. Don't discount Leontovych, either! Carol of the Bells has been around since 1914, and many artists over the decades have made covers of it.
Another study found that six cities in the Sunshine State are prime locations for celebrating Christmas this year.
