The first shipment of the Pfizer-BioNTech coronavirus vaccine has made its way to Tennessee, and hospitals across the state are beginning to vaccinate health care workers at the frontline of the pandemic.
Because times have been tough all year, and health care workers have faced enormous amounts of stress and pressure as they take care of the sickest patients, one health care facility in Tennessee took time to celebrate receiving their first doses.
Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare in Memphis posted a video on social media Thursday afternoon (December 17) showing doctors, nurses, and other health care workers dancing along to "My Shot" from the acclaimed Tony Award-winning musical Hamilton. (Don't worry — the choreographed dance still allowed the workers to stay socially distanced!)
In addition to the dance, the video included photos of some of the staff receiving the historic vaccine. With the approval of the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine, Tennessee is expected to receive even more vaccine doses next week.

There's been no word yet if the musical's creator has seen the video, but to paraphrase the great Lin-Manuel Miranda, they were not throwing away their shot.
