Some people are going all out with their Christmas lights this year, and Frankie To-ong is no different.

To-ong uses his talent as a former DJ and creativity to turn his suburban Houston home in Spring, Texas, into a hip-hop holiday display. He skips the traditional Christmas music in favor of rap hits that he syncs Christmas lights too.

"My first year I had the standard traditional songs, then my wife asked, 'Why don't you put together one of your mixes and put the lights to that?'" To-ong told the Houston Chronicle.

Most of the music he picks is by Houston artists, like Travis Scott, Bun B, and Megan Thee Stallion.

To-ong's light shows aren't the most elaborate, but his racks up tens of thousands of views on Instagram and TikTok.

“It’s fun to get creative and do things with music and make people laugh, and I like to, honestly, to get kudos for doing something that’s unique," To-ong told KHOU.

While followers on social media always ask him for address so they can see the lights in person, To-ong prefers to share his creativity online.

"I try to respect my neighbors. I don't advertise where my home is, because I don't want to disturb the neighbors and turn my street into a parking lot. The first year I did it, it was literally a parking lot," he said.
