Dua Lipa delivered two of her smash hits on Saturday Night Live.
This Saturday (December 19), the English songbird served as the late-night sketch comedy show’s final musical guest of the year to close out its 46th season.
Lipa kicked off her SNL set with her 2019 bop “Don’t Start Now,” which saw the musician donning a sexy leopard-print outfit as she busted out some fun and funky dance moves with her troupe of backup dancers. Later in the night, the 25-year-old returned to the main stage — dressed in a flowing white gown and wide frilly hat — to sing her disco-infused jam “Levitating” in yet another colorful production.
This is Lipa’s second time performing on SNL after making her highly-anticipated debut in 2018. Both records appear on Lipa’s sophomore album, Future Nostalgia, which dropped to high praise this spring. The superstar is nominated for several 2021 Grammy awards for her work on the full-length project, including Best Album, Best Song, and Record of the Year (the latter two nominations for “Don’t Start Now”).
The “Cool” musician couldn’t contain her emotions after learning she’d been nominated at next year’s awards show. She took to Twitter with a clip of her tearing up over the news.
"This doesn’t feel real!!!!! 6 GRAMMY NOMS!!! WHAT IS THIS LIFE!!!!" she wrote at the time. "I CAN’T BELIEVE IT!!! 6!!!!! MY HEART IS RACING AND IM IN TOTAL SHOCK! IM BEAMING AND FIZZING!!!!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR ALL THE LOVE AND THE SUPPORT! THANK YOU @RECORDINGACAD !!!!!!!!!”
