It's no secret that more and more people are watching TV during the COVID-19 pandemic. Between government-mandated shutdowns, remote work and online learning, streaming and cable have never been more needed.

There are some standout series that emerged this year, from Netflix hits like Tiger King and The Witcher to Disney Plus' The Mandalorian and HBO's I May Destroy You. But which TV show are Americans glued to the most?

CableTV.com may have an answer to that. According to their study, here's the TV show of choice in Oregon this year:

Star Trek! There are various iterations of this sci-fi mainstay, the classic may be providing some wonderful escapism for people at home.

Residents of the Beaver State weren't alone with this classic choice. Washington was the only other state to enjoy this classic sci-fi show!

"Sci-fi and fantasy shows are providing quarantine escape for several states... and, based on a classic Portlandia sketch, we expected Battlestar Galactica to beat out Star Trek in the Pacific Northwest. They didn’t make it so," Bill Frost, the writer of the article, said.

Other popular shows appeared frequently during the study, including Rick and Morty, Gilmore Girls, The Walking Dead, and This Is Us. Some states even had a tie on their favorite programming! To see the full results of CableTV.com's fun findings, click here.
