Colorado has some of the most caring cities in America, according to a recent study by WalletHub.
In these strange times, a little kindness and concern for others mean more than ever.
According to the study, Denver and Aurora are the 15th and 16th most caring cities in America.
Colorado Springs was also featured fairly high up on the list coming in at No. 32.
To determine which cities were the most caring, WalletHub compared 100 of the most populated U.S. cities across three key aspects include Caring for the Community, Caring for the Vulnerable, and Caring in the Workforce.
More specific key dimensions that were compared were the percentage of population doing favors for neighbors, percentage of income donated to charity, volunteering hours, percentage of workers who carpool, percentage of sheltered homeless persons, percentage of teacher's who care for students' well-being, the child poverty rate, and percentage of residents working in the community and social services.
Based on that criteria the study found that these are the top 10 most caring cities in the U.S.:
- Boston, MA
- Madison, WI
- New York, NY
- Fremon, CA
- Virginia Beach, VA
- St. Paul, MN
- Pittsburgh, PA
- Lincoln, NE
- Minneapolis, MN
- Chesapeake, VA
