Taylor Swift and Katy Perry still have love for each other.
After Perry, 36, surprised fans with a new video for "Not the End of the World" off her most recent album, Smile, Swift, 31, took to Twitter to praise the clip. "THIS IS GENIUS," the chart-topper wrote of the video, which sees aliens mistake Zooey Deschanel for Perry in their effort to save the world. As you know, the pop stars put their ugly feud behind them when Perry made a cameo at the end of Swift's 2018 video for "You Need to Calm Down."
After the clip's release, Perry and Deschanel hopped on Instagram Live, where the new mother admitted that she used to pretend to be the star to get into nightclubs. "When I first got to L.A., I went to the club. A lot. And I wanted to get into the club, but I had no money, I had no clout, I had nothing, and sometimes I would pose as you to get into the club," Perry confessed, to which the 500 Days of Summer actress said she knew of the occurrence.
"Well, I know this," Deschanel confirmed. "People were like 'I saw you!' But I'm such a goody two-shoes, and people kept going like, 'I saw you out! I made eye contact with you!' Then everybody kept telling me about you, 'This girl Katy, she looks just like you,' and I'm like, 'Who is this Katy?' And then when I first met you, I was so relieved because you're so pretty, and I was like, 'Oh, thank god. She's so pretty.'"
