Denver authorities are currently investigating a road rage shooting on Interstate 70 near Interstate 270, according to CBS4.
One man is in custody on traffic charges but the suspected shooter is on the run, police say.
The incident began around 9:30 P.M. on Saturday night (December 26). Police say one vehicle was racing and performing doughnuts on the westbound I-70.
According to investigators, the shooting suspect then fired shots at a sedan driving nearby. The sedan then crashed into the vehicle performing doughnuts.
The driver performing doughnuts is in custody, according to police.
A video captured on one witness' cellphone shows a silver car spinning out of control and hitting a truck head-on.
The silver car caught fire. When people got out of their cars behind the crash, the shots were fired. No one was hit.
The suspect is believed to be in a two-toned Chevrolet pickup truck. He was wearing a red and white checkered shirt, jeans, a beanie, and was holding a shotgun.
This is the second road rage shooting Denver police are investigating, according to CBS4.
The other incident happened on Christmas night between Interstate 25 and Park Avenue.
One person was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police are asking anyone who may know more about either incident to call 720-913-2000.
