The San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo is planning to go ahead with the 2021 event, however, it will not look like years past.
Tickets are extremely limited due to the spacing requirements.
According to Ticketmaster, only verified resale tickets appear to be available for any given event.
Executive Director and CEO of the San Antonio Rodeo Cody Davenport and Rodeo President Rusty Collier gave details for the event on a Facebook Live.
They discussed getting back to the roots of the event. The rodeo was originally held at the Freeman Coliseum from 1950 to 2003 before moving to the AT&T Center after it was built in 2002.
Davenport explained that this will be a one-year experiment. He said, "There are downsides."
The rodeo is scheduled to take place in 2021 from February 11th through the 28th a the Freeman Coliseum, rather than the AT&T Center.
The official rodeo kick-off will be on February 12th at 7 p.m.
Davenport said, "This will be more of a rodeo-focused event and less entertainment-focused. Major acts are not touring and there are too many unknowns."
