With the recent announcement of an extended stay-at-home order, many businesses throughout the Central Valley are struggling to stay open amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Luckily, social media has been able to help some local businesses get customers in their doors.
"Anytime we post something on Facebook or Instagram, we're getting new traffic that comes in letting us know we saw it on Facebook, we saw it on Instagram," Janice Keith, the social media manager at Viva! Be Bowl'd, told ABC30.
Great content can help boost a restaurant's takeout and curbside pick-up sales these days. And great content means great photos.
Mikel Zaremba is currently offering to shoot food and products at no cost for small business owners who have been impacted by the pandemic.
"We were really new in March. We were still really like a baby as far as businesses go," says Keith. "So it's been a slow burn, but with social media and with Mike's help we're staying afloat."
For small businesses, Zaremba does a mini photoshoot of their products and sends them copies to post to their social media accounts.
Zaremba currently runs a digital creative agency for local Fresno businesses called Mikel James Digital.
"The businesses I've been able to help so far have been extremely grateful. They understand what's going on," said Zaremba. "That it's a service and a product they're getting delivered that's hopefully going to help them survive this lockdown."
