Taylor Swift is saying goodbye to 2020 in the most terrifying way.
On Thursday (December 31), the “ME!” singer took to Twitter to bid this “weird” year farewell with an unusual picture of herself lounging at home in a creepy bear costume. “Bye 2020, it’s been weird,” the 31-year-old captioned the uncanny Midsommar-esque photo, which has sparked tons of hilarious tweets and memes from Swifties based on the 2019 horror film.
“I think her next album is gonna be Midsommar themed. Folk horror. Purrr“ one suggested with a side-by-side photo of Swift’s outfit and a screenshot from the movie.
Another user quipped, “That awkward moment when Taylor Swift dresses up as the wrong character from Midsommar.”
Someone else joked, “Taylor Swift dressing as the bear from Midsommar was not on my 2020 Bingo List.”

Bizarre bear costumes aside, Swift had one heck of a year. She surprise-released not one, but two successful studio albums in 2020.
In the midst of quarantining, Swift unveiled Folklore, a whimsical full-length project that features songs like “Cardigan,” “Betty,” and “Exile” featuring Bon Iver. The record also scored the singer-songwriter several 2021 Grammy nominations.
Then, ahead of the Christmas holiday, the pop star shook Swifties again by unveiling folklore’s sister album, Evermore, earlier this month. Both records debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart, making Swift the first female artist of the year to bag two chart-topping albums in 2020.
