Watch Mariah Carey's Priceless Reaction To Jennifer Lopez's NYE Performance

The elusive chanteuse blessed us with one last meme to close out 2020.

Last night (December 31), Mariah Carey gave the most awkward reaction when her NYE interview with CNN was loudly interrupted by Jennifer Lopez’s Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve 2021 performance.

At one point during her conversation with Andy Cohen and Anderson Cooper, Carey became a bit distracted by the background noise from J.Lo’s NYE set.

"What’s going on in the background, I’m hearing music?" the “Shake It Off” pop star asked innocuously, to which Cohen meekly responded, “We got J.Lo behind us, actually."

Carey’s immediate reaction that followed — a look of straight-up bewilderment — is what memes are made of. And of course, considering Lopez and Carey’s long-standing rumored feud, fans couldn't let the moment go untweeted.

“Not Jlo performing while Mariah Carey speaks Andy AINT SH*T for mentioning Jlo lmaooooo,” one fan wrote of the hilarious moment on Twitter.

Another user tweeted, “CNN is messy and shady as hell for interviewing Mariah Carey the same exact moment as Jennifer Lopez screaming off key nearby on Dick Clark.... #CNNNYE.”

“CNN interviewing Mariah Carey as JLo performs in the background is the chefs kiss we needed to end this year,” someone else chimed in.

As an explainer, Carey and the “Love Don’t Cost A Thing” entertainer’s decade-long rivalry dates all the way back to the ‘00s when the "Dreamlover" star infamously had this to say to an interviewer asking her about Lopez: “I don’t know her.”
