Amanda Kloots is ready to face the trauma from the death of her husband Nick Cordero, who endured a fatal battle with COVID-19 throughout the year.

In a new post, which was shared on January 2 (Saturday) on Instagram Story, Kloots, 38, opened up about her year. "New Years has been tough, extremely hard for me. I've cried more recently than in awhile," Kloots kicked off the length message. "I thought Christmas would be hard, this was worse."

"I think it's because when the new year comes you want a clean slate or to forget about last year, esp 2020. But, I can't forget about last year and will not be able to wipe that slate clean," she continued. "I also think I am slightly scared of what can happen in a year, how much things can change."

Kloots went on to admit that "everything I went through is finally catching up to me and I am finally ready to go to therapy to address the trauma."

In December, Kloots took to Instagram to share a video of a ring that she had made using some of her late husband's ashes. "Something very special arrived yesterday," the widow captioned the footage of her holding the sparkler. "I'm constantly amazed by the ways you can incorporate ashes to keep your person close to you."

Elsewhere in the post, The Talk co-host opened up about turning some of his ashes into a family vase. "I love that Nick is with me in many places; the ocean, a beautiful vase, an urn and now on my hand," she told her followers.
