For many people, finding a new job and furthering their career is a top New Year's resolution.
The job market in America took a huge hit in 2020 as a result of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. The unemployment rate reached 14.7% at one point, but has since been steadily recovering.
So how hard it is to land a job in the Dallas area?
According to a study conducted by Wallethub, Plano is the tenth-easiest state to find a job in. The city is seventeenth in the nation for "job market" and fourteenth for "socio-economics".
Here are the top ten cities to find a job in, according to the study:
- South Burlington, VT
- Columbia, MD
- Virginia Beach, VA
- Salt Lake City, UT
- Boise, ID
- Scottsdale, AV
- Chesapeake, VA
- Seattle, WA
- Colorado Springs, CO
- Plano, TX
To determine the list, Wallethub compared 182 cities, including the 150 most populated cities in the United States, across two key dimensions- job market and socio-economics. Those two dimensions were then evaluated using 32 relevant metrics such as transit score, job opportunities, job satisfaction, and annual transportation costs.
