REJECTED: These 20 License Plates Didn't Hit The Road In Ohio In 2020

2020 was a doozy, and many Ohioans wanted to commemorate its historic miseries with creative — and some obscene — license plates.

But the Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles turned down their ideas.

Whether it was taking a shot at 2020 as a whole, making a reference to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, expressing disdain for a candidate in the heated presidential election, or even a nod to the wild Netflix series Tiger King, the Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles opted not to approve the plates that go against state standards.

But the 2020-themed license plate ideas weren't the only ones that won't be hitting the roads any time soon.

In total, more than 400 plates were rejected by the Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles in 2020. NBC4 listed all 462 of them in a 10-page document online, obtained by public records request. The station advised viewer discretion.
