Bed Bath & Beyond will soon have 43 fewer brick and mortar locations as the company closes some of its doors across 19 states and Puerto Rico.
In July, the company announced it would close 200 stores over the next two years. By the end of 2020, 63 had already been shut down. A company spokesperson told USA Today that after this next phase, an estimated 60% of its planned closures will be complete by the end of February.
Retailers have been closing stores to focus more on their online offerings, a process that has accelerated amid the harsh economic realities of the pandemic. One Louisiana location slated to close soon is in Slidell, at 127 Northshore Blvd.
