Zara Larsson & Young Thug Team Up On New Song 'Talk About Love'

Zara Larsson has enlisted Young Thug for her new single.

On Friday (January 8), the Swedish songbird released her latest joint, “Talk About Love,” which boasts a heavy cosign from one of ATL’s hottest rappers. The track, produced by Mike Sabath, serves as the lead single off Larsson’s upcoming third studio album, Poster Girl.

On it, the pop star sings of wanting a no strings attached kind of “love” despite her lover’s deepening affection. “Patience is a virtue, I ain't tryna hurt you/ I need you to read between the lines,” cautions Larsson, who sings, “Calling me out and it's unfair/ Told you I don't wanna go there/ Swear that I can take it, all your expectations/ Rising up, I push 'em to the side/ You know I'm down to go anywhere/ But told you, I don't wanna go there.”

Entering midway through the mid-tempo joint, Thugger raps, “I don't wanna talk about love/ I don't got time to be lying like a rug … Why you wanna talk about it all the time?/ Keep it up over there, you gon' be mine.”

“Talk About Love” follows Larsson’s previously-released singles including pop jams “Love Me Land” and "Wow" featuring Sabrina Carpenter.

The songstress detailed Poster Girl in an interview with Borderless Melodies in August 2020.

“It’s really good, I’m so proud (of it),” Larsson said at the time, describing the record as a mix of ups and downs. “You know when I make an album or write a song I always think about what would I like to see in a connection.. how I would want the concert to be. I don’t want to go to like an EDM show where I have to dance all the time, but I also don’t wanna cry the whole show. I want a little bit of this and a little bit of that.”
