Vanessa Bryant is remembering her late husband Kobe Bryant in a new video.

Earlier this week, the widow of the legendary NBA player took to Instagram with a touching throwback clip that features Kobe speaking poignantly about the “ups and downs” of marriage.

“Happiness is such a beautiful journey,” Kobe opens the clip. “It has its ups and downs, whether it’s in marriage or whether it’s in a career. Things are never perfect, but through love, you continue to persevere, and you move through them, you move through them. And then through that storm, a beautiful sun emerges, and inevitably, another storm comes. And guess what? You ride that one out too.”

He concluded, “So, I think love is sort of a determination, a persistence to go through the good times and the bad times with someone or something that you truly love.”

Vanessa, 38, shared the clip with the heartwarming caption, “I LOVE YOU @kobebryant Miss you and Gigi so much. ❤️”

The video comes just weeks of what will mark one year since the tragic helicopter crash that claimed the lives of Kobe, 41, and the couple’s 13-year-old daughter, Gianna, on January 26, 2020. Both Kobe and Gianna are survived by matriarch Vanessa and her daughters, Natalia, 17, Bianka, 4, and 19-month-old Capri.

Vanessa paid tribute to Gigi and Kobe’s memory during her first Christmas without them by unveiling their family Christmas card for 2020, a black-and-white portrait of Vanessa and three of the couple’s daughters sitting beside each other in the heartwarming snapshot. "Always Together, Never Apart Together Forever In Our Hearts. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ Kobe, Vanessa, Natalia, Gianna, Bianka and Capri," Vanessa wrote at the time.
