Over the weekend, Luke Combs' wife Nicole Hocking opened up about her recent COVID-19 battle.

On Saturday (January 9), she turned to her Instagram Story to update fans after being off the social media platform for nearly two weeks. In the clip, Hocking revealed that she's experienced pretty much every symptom that the virus could offer, describing her battle as "brutal."

"I wish I was like those people that just lost their smell or taste or just didn’t even know they had it I guess, but no, I’ve had all the symptoms, except for a fever," she explained. "It’s beat me up."

However, she continued on to say that although it's been challenging she's doing much better now. "It’s brutal," she said going on to add, "But you know I am on the up and coming and I am feeling great these last two or three days and hopefully, I test negative soon."

Hocking did not specify if Combs had also tested positive for the virus, nor did she give any details on the couple's quarantine arrangement. Hocking's most recent Instagram post was on Christmas Day, sharing a series of photos of the couple dressed in matching holiday sweaters with their pet dog, cat, and chicken.

Combs and Hocking started dating in 2016 and got engaged in November of 2018. The "Beautiful Crazy" singer proposed in the kitchen of their Nashville home and then announced the news while on vacation in Hawaii.

The couple officially tied the knot in August of 2020 in an intimate ceremony at their home in Florida surrounded by a small group of friends and family. Following the big day, Combs turned to Instagram to share the news with fans.

"Yesterday was the best day of my life," he wrote alongside a sweet photo of the couple. "I got to marry my best friend. I love you @nicohocking, here’s to forever."
