This New England State Ranked As The Best To Raise A Family

Massachusetts is the best place to raise a family in the United States, according to a recent study.
WalletHub ranked the Bay State No. 1 for its list of the best and worst states to raise a family for 2021. The website said it considered career transitions, better schools, financial challenges or a general desire to change settings as factors in its rankings.
Massachusetts topped the list with a 60.88 total score and ranked ninth in "family fun," 10th in "health & safety," third in "education & child care," sixth in affordability," and 21st in "socio-economics."
New England was well represented on the list, with Vermont ranking fifth, New Hampshire ranking sixth, Connecticut ranking ninth and Rhode Island ranking 24th.
New Mexico ranked as the worst state to raise a family, followed by Mississippi, West Virginia, Louisiana and Oklahoma.
