The Federal Bureau of Investigation has sent out new warnings just less than a week after the riot at the United States Capitol building that left several people dead.

According to the FBI, there is intelligence indicating that there may be more protests in the coming days leading to President-elect Joe Biden's inauguration.

The FBI is warning of armed protests at each of the state capitol buildings in all 50 states.

Retired FBI Special Agent John Iannarelli told 12 News Now, "Information that winds up in an intel bulletin has been vetted and is considered fairly serious. The fact that it's broad is exactly why they put out these intel bulletins. They want to make sure that all the law enforcement agencies throughout the United states are aware of these threats and are prepared."

Arizona has begun taking precautions and erected fencing around the capitol building as Arizona Legislature returns.

A statement released by a Department of Public Safety spokesperson read, "Out of an abundance of caution, fences have been erected at the State Capitol complex to protect property. Security procedures at the State Capitol have been enhanced to ensure the safety of the public."

The bulletin says that the armed protests could start as soon as Saturday and last through Inauguration Day on January 20th.
