Charlotte may be known for its traditional southern dishes and barbecue, but the Queen City is home to a wide range of cuisine.

One such dining option are delis, which offer customers ready-to-eat items that they can take and go. Luckily for those in the city, or those just stopping by, there are plenty to choose from.

Listed below are some of the best delis in Charlotte.

Rhino Market & Deli

This neighborhood market has multiple locations and strives to meet "the various needs of urban foragers" around Charlotte. Along with Rhino's locally-sourced menu, customers can make use of the relaxing environment while they have a cup of coffee, hang out with friends, or even hold a business meeting.

Laurel Market

Laurel Market has a wide selection of sandwiches, salads, soups, and more available on their menu. For a twist on a classic, try Special #4, a turkey sandwich with a kick from pepperjack cheese and chipotle spread. If you're feeling more creative, try crafting your own!

NoDa Bodega

Called a hidden gem by Charlotte Magazine, NoDa Bodega is located in the heart of the historic arts and entertainment district. Along with its delicious everyday menu, NoDa offers specialty items like Club Crystal (with jerk chicken, pimento cheese, avocado, and caramelized pineapple salsa) or The Bodega Cuban (braised pork, smoked ham, cheese, cheese, jalapeños, pickled red onions, and chipotle honey mustard).

Deli St

For anyone looking for plant-based deli options, try Deli st in Plaza Midwood. A favorite is the Briar Creek Toast with avocado, spinach, chickpeas, and vegan mayo. Not to worry, they also serve meat options, like the Morningside Breakfast wrap or The Plaza Torta sandwich.

Common Market

Another Plaza Midwood spot is Common Market, serving up deli favorites alongside its grocery options and bar selections. You can even show off your love for the neighborhood fave with gifts, vinyl, T-shirts, and more. Don't feel like making your way to the Plaza? No worries! Common Market has locations in Oakwold and South End, and will soon open a new spot in Rock Hill.
