Here's Where To Find Girl Scout Cookies In Indianapolis

Cookie season in Central Indiana is fast approaching, but because of the pandemic, local Girl Scout troops are doing things a little bit differently this year.

Instead of door-to-door cookie sales, the Girl Scouts of Central Indiana will be using socially distant sales tactics. Don't worry, you'll still be able to get a box (or two or three) of Thin Mints.

Starting on January 22, cookies will be available for on-demand delivery through the Grubhub app. This option isn't available in all U.S. cities, but it will be in Indianapolis, Carmel and Lafayette.

Grubhub is also letting local troops take charge of deliveries through the app so all sales will benefit local Girl Scouts.

"Even in light of the COVID-19 pandemic, girls are adapting their sales methods to share the joy of Girl Scout Cookies through the largest girl-led entrepreneurship program," Girl Scouts of Central Indiana CEO Danielle Shockey told WTHR. "Proceeds from each and every purchase stay local with the troop and council to power Girl Scouts’ essential leadership programming."

Cookies will also be sold through the Girl Scouts of Central Indiana website, which also starts on January 22.

Starting on February 19, Girl Scouts will have socially distant cookie booths and in-person sales. Locations and dates will be available at the Girl Scouts of Central Indiana website at a later date.

Cookie season runs through March 21.
