Hours after President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris were sworn-in on Wednesday (January 20), music's biggest stars came together (virtually, of course) to celebrate!
From the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C., John Legend sang of "a new dawn" and "a new day," performing Nina Simone's classic hit, "Feeling Good," during the primetime inauguration special, Celebrating America.
John, a longtime Democrat, previously performed alongside his family at a drive-in rally in Philadelphia in support of the Biden-Harris ticket ahead of the 2020 election. Prior to his Wednesday performance, John once again issued his support of the Biden administration.
"Thank you, President Biden and Vice-President Harris, for honoring the over 400,000 lives we’ve lost in the past year from this awful virus. This number includes some of my family and probably some of yours. Among the many changes I look forward to, I’m very much looking forward to having a decent human being leading this nation, one who knows of grief, empathy, resilience and love for others. May God bless America," the EGOT winner wrote on social media.
Today absolutely had us *feeling good*!

For his trip to D.C., John brought along his family: wife, Chrissy Teigen, and children, Luna and Miles.
"We feel very grateful to be a part of this moment ❤️🇺🇸," John captioned one of the shots he shared of his family enjoying Inauguration Day on Wednesday.
