A man from Phoenix was arrested on multiple charges last Friday after cops say he was impersonating a cop as well as kidnapping and robbing two women, reported AZ Family.
Isaac Castro Gonzales, 38, allegedly followed the two women from a casino in the early hours of January 13th. The two victims left Desert Diamond Casino near Glendale after one of the women won $300.
The women entered a BMW SUV and began driving away when they were then stopped by what they believed to be an unmarked police car that was using a blue light. Another car then blocked the women in.
The police report states that the women were removed from the vehicle by force, restrained with zip ties and handcuffs, and put in the backseat of their SUV. A suspect then drove the SUV away while someone else held them down so that they couldn't see where they were going.
The women were forced to give their PIN numbers at an ATM before being released. The victims were then able to call for help.
Detectives discovered surveillance video that showed the suspects following the victims which led to the arrest two days later.
Gonzales is now facing felony charges including kidnapping, armed robbery, and impersonating an officer. He is being held without bond.
