Sedan Crashes Into School Bus With Children On Board In Denver

Denver police are searching for two suspects wanted in connection to a hit and run crash with a school bus that had children on board.

The crash happened on Wednesday (January 20) afternoon at 28th Avenue and Havana Street. according to CBS4.

Police say that after the collision, three people inside the sedan fled from the scene and officers were only able to detain one.

Denver police are still on the lookout for the two other suspects.

Based on witness accounts given to CBS4's Dillon Thomas, the bus was from the HOPE Online Learning. There were 13 students on board when the crash occurred.

In a statement from HOPE Online Learning released to CBS4, four students were transported to the hospital by an ambulance and five students were taken to the hospital by their parents for further evaluation and treatment.

There were no serious injuries, according to the online school. Emergency services immediately responded to the scene to evaluate all 13 students and the adult bus driver.

Later that same day, police reported that the suspect vehicle was in another hit and run crash near 39th and Peoria Street. When the victim attempted to talk to the suspects after the crash, they say the suspect pointed a gun at them and then fled.

Denver police have not released descriptions of the suspects.
