A Las Vegas multimillionaire is offering huge cash prizes for answering the question of whether there is life after death, reported Daily Mail.
Robert Bigelow, 75, is fascinated with extraterrestrials and outer space. He made his fortune from Budget Suites long-term rentals. He also founded the Bigelow Institute for Consciousness Studies.
The Institute announced on Monday that they are hosting an essay competition for scientists that have a background in the field of neurology and psychology.
The entries must be submitted by August 1st of 2021.
The essays must be a 25,000 word thesis on whether a soul's existence continues once the human body dies.
There will be a panel of academics and medical scientists that will judge the entries. The winner will be announced on November 1st of 2021.

Bigelow has been fascinated with the paranormal and out-of-body experiences since childhood. He has some unusual encounters as a child that led to his obsession with it as an adult.
His latest venture is inspired by the death of his wife of 55 years, Diane Mona Bigelow, in February of 2020.
Bigelow told Mystery Wire, "The Bigelow Institute for Consciousness Studies was formed to try to conduct research and facilitate research into the possibility of the survival of human consciousness beyond bodily death. If that is true, hen to explore what is the other side all about."
