An investigation is underway after authorities found a body at Poo Poo Point trailhead in Northwest Washington, according to KIRO 7.

The King County Sheriff's Office got a 911 call around 2 a.m. Sunday (January 24), which reported a discovered body at the trailhead in Issaquah. Deputies told reporters a person was shot.

Authorities are investigating the death as suspicious, and the cause and manner of death hasn't been determined yet. KOMO reported that investigators are looking for clues and vehicles near the crime scene.

King County deputies also haven't released information about the victim or possible suspects at this time.

Last month, a 15-year-old suspect was taken into custody in the shooting death of teenager in Tacoma. The body of a teenage girl was found in a submerged vehicle back in November after authorities recovered it from the Skagit River.
