The pandemic has definitely put a damper on all things entertainment-related over the last year, and theater was definitely one of its victims.

Phoenix-area theater lovers now have something to celebrate, however, as ASU Gammage in Tempe is announcing the return of Broadway musicals to its stage later this year.

ASU Gammage rescheduled all but three of its shows that were canceled due to the global coronavirus pandemic, and is hoping to welcome patrons back this fall, reported AZ Family.

Here is the schedule for the upcoming Broadway shows:

  • Rodgers & Hammerstein's OKLAHOMA! (August 17 -22, 2021)
  • HAMILTON (September 8 - October 3, 2021)
  • MEAN GIRLS (October 19 - 24, 2021)
  • MY FAIR LADY (December 7 - 12, 2021)
  • THE BAND’S VISIT (February 8 -13, 2022)
  • TOOTSIE (March 15 - 20, 2022)
  • HADESTOWN (April 19 - 24, 2022)
  • COME FROM AWAY (June 14–19, 2022)

ASU Gammage wasn't able to reschedule Disney's FROZEN and TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD. Anyone that had tickets to those shows will were automatically moved to their corresponding subscriber performance of HADESTOWN and COME FROM AWAY.

Tickets for the upcoming shows are not yet on sale to the public.
