In the United States, there are many areas you can take advantage of when you stop working. Some states may be affordable than others, and some may have better activities or better health care. There's a lot of factors at play when it comes to deciding where to retire.
WalletHub looked at all these factors to determine which states, including Washington D.C., are the best and worst for retirement. Now, where does Florida rank on the list?
If you're a longtime resident, you may know the answer. According to the website, the Sunshine State is the No. 1 destination for retirees. Researchers gave the state high marks for affordability and overall quality of life.

The COVID-19 pandemic may have thrown off many Americans' retirement plans, but there's no harm in trying to start fresh or approach it differently.
