Police are looking for two women accused of throwing bricks at a Chick-Fil-A drive-thru window.
They were apparently angry that they couldn’t dine inside because of COVID-19 restrictions.
Employees of the Chick-Fil-A at Chastain Square refused to allow the women to come inside because of the restaurant's COVID-19 guidelines in place, so the women responded by yelling at employees through the drive-thru window.
Video recorded by one of the employees and shared by ATL Scoop shows one of the women pounding on the drive-thru window, which they eventually hit with bricks. Employees can be heard yelling “lock the door!”
"Drama at Chick-Fil-A (Chastain Square)... Apparently these people ran inside without permission, were kicked out, then proceeded to yell at employees through drive-thru window. After the employees refused to serve them, them they went crazy!" ATL Scoop said, hashtagging the video #ItsOnlyMonday.
“The female appeared to have left the location however she returned with two more black females in a white Chrysler sedan through the drive thru window,” a police report reads. “The females began to scream at the employees at the location.”
Employees also had to stop them from climbing through the drive-thru window, according to WSB-TV. Authorities have not identified the women.
The window has “noticeable cracks and damage,” the police report states. The incident caused more than $500 in property damage.
