Chloe Bailey fans are rallying behind her after the 22-year-old singer was attacked on social media.
If you’ve been watching Twitter’s trending topics this month, chances are you’ve seen Chloe’s name on the list more than once. She and her sister, Halle Bailey, 20— of the Grammy-nominated R&B duo Chloe x Halle, maybe you’ve heard of them? — created separate Instagram accounts, and Chloe has since been sharing more photo and video content of her doing fun dance challenges and embracing her body.
Sadly, some so-called fans have been criticizing Chloe’s newfound freedom of expression for being "too sexy." What’s worse, the criticism became so intense that Chloe addressed her detractors via Instagram Live on Sunday (January 31), but not before coming to tears over the mean and hurtful comments she's been receiving.
the way y’all disrespected chloe bailey enough to have her address her being herself on live is sad, thank god she’s secure with herself and only doing it FOR herself. pic.twitter.com/3dgtws7qvp

the way y’all disrespected chloe bailey enough to have her address her being herself on live is sad && she’s crying. I’m so glad she’s secure with herself and only doing it FOR herself and NOT FOR ANYONE’S APPROVAL. pic.twitter.com/yRqBn8f87M

"There have been so many times where I've felt I wasn't pretty enough," said Chloe, wiping tears from her face. "I have a lot of issues with my weight, so it's really … a pivotal time for me. I'm just now learning at 22, almost 23, that it's okay to be all that you are and to stand in that power."
“For every woman out there, don’t change who you are to make society feel comfortable. And I’m telling myself that’s not what I’m going to do, even when I posted the video yesterday, I posted it because I was saging and doing Palo Santa and I was like, ‘Let’s spread positive vibes,’" she continued. “I didn’t even really notice you guys were talking about my a— because I was like, ‘OK, I’m just walking in from one seconds, two seconds.'"
“It’s really hard for me to think of myself as a sexual being or an attractive being quite frankly,” Chloe admitted. “So, when I see all the uproar about my posts and stuff, I’m a bit confused. Like, I really don’t understand because I’ve never seen myself in that way.”
Thousands of Chloe's fans have since come to her defense on Twitter — see what they're saying below:

I knew the Chloe Bailey backlash was coming, and not because of any valid reason, just because ppl on this app are miserable and they hate everything and everyone

The conversation around Chloe Bailey is interesting to me because I don’t think folks realise she’s only one year younger than Kylie Jenner and I’m sure if Kylie posted these videos no one would give a heck
