Three People Dead Following Snow Shovel Dispute

Three people are dead after a dispute between neighbors over shoveling snow turned violent in Plains Township, Pennsylvania. Authorities said that a husband and wife were gunned down in the street, and the alleged shooter killed himself inside of his home.

Authorities have not released the identity of the victims or the alleged gunman.

Neighbors told WBRE reporter Julie Dunphythey heard about a dozen gunshots just after 9:30 a.m. on Monday (February 1) morning. First Assistant District Attorney Sam Sanguedolce told reporters that the shooter used a long gun and a pistol.

"First Assistant District Attorney Sam Sanguedolce confirms the murder victims are husband and wife. They were shot dead in the street. The alleged gunman, their neighbor, committed suicide inside his home on West Bergh Street. Both a long gun and pistol were used by gunman @WNEP," Chelsea Strub tweeted from the scene.

It is unclear if the neighbors had previous altercations.
