Tom Cruise wants to finish Mission Impossible 7 at all costs.
Over the weekend, insiders close to the seventh installment of the action franchise revealed to the UK's Sun that Cruise, 58, is trying his best to complete production and making it a "nightmare" in the process. "A lot of us would love to cut our losses and leave things for a while, then pick up when we can," one source told the outlet. "But Tom is completely obsessed with finishing and nothing will stop him."
While the insider admitted that his determination is impressive, the push to complete the film has become too much. "He's the most determined person. It’s impressive, but a nightmare," the insider added.
Production reportedly had concerns after the set moved out of the UK and into the United Arab Empires as they aren't sure when they'll go home since flights between the Middle East and the UK are currently banned. "Now many of the production team, especially the more junior staff who aren’t on big salaries, are up in arms and just want to go home," The Sun reported. "This is starting to feel like a real nightmare of a production — and of course, a lot of that is totally unavoidable."
Still, Cruise has reportedly attempted to make sure that the set of the film is as safe as possible. Just a few months back, audio from the set of the film leaked and heard the actor scream at production about breaking COVID-19 protocol.
