A heartwarming video of staff and residents at a North Carolina senior care community is going viral on TikTok. Set to the tune of a Christina Perri cover of "You've Got a Friend in Me," the video shows members of the staff at Trinity Place in Albemarle dressed as beloved characters from Disney's Toy Story and interacting and dancing with residents around the facility.
"They dress up and do a different act each week," Erin Kidd, marketing specialist at Lutheran Services Carolinas, said of the staff at Trinity Place.
Each week, the "Hall Hoppin' Heroes," made up of Cora Ingle, Tracy Dean, and Jerry Hunter, dress up and strut through the halls to help brighten the day of residents and staff alike.
"The COVID-19 pandemic has really made us look way outside of the box now," said Ingle, life enrichment director at the facility.
In such a turbulent time, the dancing dynamos are doing a great job keeping spirits high. The video seemed to resonate with many people, as the video has 76,500 likes and over 1,200 comments. If you're having a rough day, watch the video below to put a smile on your face.
