A 60-year-old Washington man died after falling through the ice on a lake in northern Idaho, according to KOMO.

Reporters said emergency responders came to Blue Lake in Harrison, Idaho after authorities got a report of someone yelling for help. When they arrived, they reportedly found a body partially submerged in lake waters.

The body was identified as Dale Renfro from Spokane Valley, Washington, according to the Kootenai County Sheriff's Office. Authorities said it's not clear if he drowned or died of prolonged exposure to the cold.

"His family told authorities that Renfro was an avid fisherman, and he probably went onto the lake to fish," reporters said.

Last month, authorities in Oregon pulled a Portland man from a vehicle submerged in the Columbia River. The body of a woman who went missing after a landslide was also recovered in January.
