Thomas Rhett Shares Heartfelt New Song, 'Your Momma's Front Door'

Thomas Rhett takes a walk down memory lane in his new song, "Your Momma's Front Door."

On Tuesday (February 3), the country singer turned to Instagram to tease the heartfelt new song to fans, sharing a video of himself singing the tune while strumming his guitar.

"We got some new music coming pretty soon, but, uh, I still keep writing songs," Rhett says at the beginning of the clip, going on to note that he appreciates the feedback fans give him when he plays new music on social media.

Rhett went on to explain how a recent trip to drop his youngest daughter, Lennon Love, off at his wife, Lauren Akins' mom's house inspired the new tune.

"This is one I wrote a couple of weeks ago. I went to drop Lennon off at Lauren's mom's house and you know, I've been over to that house a million times...I mean from the time I was probably 13 until now, I'm 30," he explained. "And it just hit me different dropping Lennon off and walking through that door. There are just so many versions of me that have walked through that front door...and it kind of turned into a song. So, it goes a little something like this, it's called 'Your Momma's Front Door.'"

"Today it just hit me that I got some history with every square inch of that faded brick porch," Rhett sings on the chorus. "It's crazy to think how much my life has changed now, and it just keeps changing a little bit more every time I show up at your mamma's front door."
